A round table bringing together actors from civil society, religious people, teachers, traditional communicators, artists and many personalities was held this Saturday, February 10, 2024, in the urban commune of Kindia.\u00a0An initiative of the National Coalition to Support Reconciliation in Guinea (CONAREG) which aims to work for a successful transition.\u00a0The initiators made a plea to the authorities for a broader dialogue with a view to reaching a national consensus, a guarantee of a successful transition, reports one of the Guineematin.com correspondents based in the prefecture.<\/span><\/p>\n The National Coalition to Support Reconciliation in Guinea (CONAREG) is made up of human rights organizations, victims’ associations and the media.\u00a0In collaboration with the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience and the Center for Studies on the Fight against Violence and Reconciliation, it intends to transcend divisions, prevent conflicts, heal the wounds of the past, and bring together all Guineans around noble objectives. of socio-economic development, say the organizers.<\/p>\n The CORANEG coordinator in Lower Guinea, Bah Sidy Mohamed, provided details on the merits of this event.\u00a0\u201cThis year the chosen theme is \u201cIssues and challenges of a successful transition in Guinea, drawing inspiration from the past to prevent the future\u201d.\u00a0The desired objective is for Guinea to emerge from this transition with its head held high.\u00a0And to do this, all stakeholders must get involved to plead with the authorities, so that a much broader dialogue is implemented to facilitate the return to constitutional order,\u201d declared Sidy Mohamed Bah.<\/p>\n For his part, Mohamed Kassi Camara, civil society actor from Kindia, explains how the transition can achieve its goals.\u00a0\u201cFundamentally, successful transition in a country first requires those in power to avoid hidden agendas.\u00a0Second, that they themselves respect the charter they have developed.\u00a0Thirdly, it is also to avoid the restriction of public freedoms and make the CRIEF a legal instrument and not a political-legal instrument.\u00a0But with everything that is happening now, we have the impression that evil is stuck to the skin of the Guinean, because we all thought that these excesses were going to be a bad memory for us.\u00a0Frankly, the situation does not inspire confidence between leaders and those led.\u00a0But we must still hope to put the nation above all else to get out of this situation and have free, transparent and peaceful elections because that is the basis of a transition.\u00a0“, said Mohamed Kassi Camara, civil society actor and facilitator of the said panel.<\/p>\n Same story with large opposition blocs in inclusive dialogue even before the general population census.\u00a0So, let’s stop seeing ourselves as Malink\u00e9, Peul, Soussou, Baga or Forestier.\u00a0We are called to live together for the happiness of each other,\u201d he insisted.<\/p>\n For his part, Elhadj Oumar Camara, 1st\u00a0imam<\/sup>\u00a0\u00a0in the Gara district, calls on all stakeholders, without exclusion, so that Guinea finally puts an end to its problems.\u00a0\u201cI take my hat off to CORANEG for such a thought, because it is only a madman who can rejoice in the current situation of the country.\u00a0The hope that had been aroused in people is minimal from day to day.\u00a0This is why everyone, without exception, must do their best to make this transition successful.\u00a0It is also up to the rulers to know that every leader has a moment of glory and if he takes advantage of this moment, he will not be worried by God, the creator of the heavens (\u2026) So, it is all about a directions to disseminate and raise awareness among citizens.\u00a0So, to succeed in this transition, we must popularize everything that goes to the smooth running of the transition and especially for lasting peace in Guinea.\u00a0This round table has enlightened us and it allows us to orient ourselves, to take a good position to contribute to social cohesion,\u201d he suggested.<\/p>\n It should
